About Us

CARE @Metamorphosis Coaching is a values driven organisation committed to empowering individuals to lead healthier, more independent lives.

We are currently seeking a compassionate and professional Psychosocial Recovery Coach to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who brings both lived and learned experience in the mental health space and is passionate about supporting others on their recovery journey.

About the Role

The Psychosocial Recovery Coach works alongside NDIS participants with psychosocial disabilities, helping them take control of their lives and work towards their personal recovery goals. This includes developing and implementing individualised recovery plans, coordinating supports, and facilitating connections with both clinical and community based services.

A key part of the role is having a sound understanding of NDIS plans, including interpreting plan goals, navigating funding categories, and supporting participants to make informed decisions about how their plan can be used to best meet their needs.

Recovery-Oriented Approach

At Metamorphosis Coaching, we are deeply committed to a recovery-oriented approach. This means:

  • Placing the participant at the centre of all decision making
  • Recognising and building upon each person’s strengths, hopes, and goals
  • Fostering autonomy, resilience, and community connection
  • Supporting the belief that recovery is possible, personal, and achievable for all

We aim to empower participants, not “fix” them, by working in partnership and promoting self-determination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain supportive, collaborative relationships with participants
  • Co-develop personalised recovery plans in line with participant goals and NDIS funding
  • Support participants to navigate the NDIS and access appropriate services
  • Promote self-advocacy, skill-building, and independence
  • Maintain accurate case notes and adhere to all NDIS documentation requirements

Requirements

  • Demonstrated understanding of mental health and psychosocial disability
  • Strong communication, planning, and interpersonal skills
  • Alignment with a recovery-oriented and person-centred approach
  • Cultural competence and a commitment to inclusive, respectful support
